DIY Thursday: Wrought Iron Artwork

Welcome to DIY Thursday! So sorry it is a little later than usual. It has been one heck of a week! This week I will show you how to jazz up a really boring wall with a little vinyl artwork!

Here is what you will need:
-A wall
-EAD Designs Wrought Iron vinyl in the color of your choice.

We have a small hallway to our full bath. This hallway has a closet on one side and then just a blank wall on the other. When the door is open to the bathroom it covers half of this wall, but the other half looks really plain. You can also see it from the living room and main hallway. See below:

I apologize for the bad lighting. The days are so short right now, most of my craft time has to be done with funky unnatural light! Here is a better look at the wall with the door closed.

And again, the wall on the right.

I decided to try out a wrought iron design from EAD Designs for the space. Since the door is open more often than it is closed, I chose the more oblong of the options. I also chose white to bring some brightness to this somewhat light-less hallway.

Now for the hard part! ;) Peel off your backing.

Line up the transfer paper on the wall how you want it before you press firmly to avoid mistakes.

Use a popsicle stick, credit card, clothespin, whatever you can come up with to remove air bubbles and adhere the vinyl to your wall.

Very carefully peel away the transfer paper. Because this is such an intricate design, you have to really take your time on this one.

 Here is the finished product!

I LOVE it! My hubby is not sold, so we will see. The good thing is, vinyl removes so easily! We could change this spot up for the seasons!

Do you have any spaces that could benefit from a little swirl design? Are you in need of something that does not require and irreversible commitment? I highly suggest the wrought iron designs!
