Welcome to this week's DIY Thursday! Here is what you will need:
-A mixer (mine is a KitchenAid but any that are shaped similar will do)
-EAD Designs Wrought Iron 1 in the 10×7 size
I don't know about you all, but I LOVE my KitchenAid mixer. It is probably one of my most prized posessions that we own. Love it. Love it. Love it. So I finally decided to show it a little love! I mean she was lovely just plain and white, but now she has a little flair! (Yes I know…inanimate object!)
I mean even if you don't bake, the KitchenAid is such a commanding piece of kitchen equipment!
Here is the canvas for this week's project.
I ordered the small wrought iron in a cream that matches the beadboard in our kitchen.
Next, I simply peeled the backing off leaving just the vinyl and transfer paper.
Then I veeeeerry carefully lined the viny up on top of the mixer. I used the screw on top to find the center. This photo does not make it look lined up, but I promise it is.
Next I smoothed one side very carefully. It got a little wrinkled toward the front but it did not really create too many problems, you just have to smooth it out at the end.
Then I smoothed down the other side.
Once it is all smoothed down, I carefully peeled off the transfer paper.
It was just that easy! And look how cute she looks!
And from the top!
*sigh* I love it.
Does anyone have any fun mixer makeovers using vinyl? I am so pleased with how this looks!

I love it! How about white on a blue mixer…I think yes! ~Kelly
